Small Groups Policy
If you fail to show up, numbers decrease or cancel without at least 24 hours’ notice, you will be charges a no-show fee. Your reservation will be guaranteed to the value of $50 per person. Please note, the cancellation fee may be used as a credit towards a future booking. To redeem this credit please email downtown@matteosydney.com
Larger Group Policy
If you fail to show up, your group size decreases, or you cancel within 2 days (48 hours) of your reservation, you may be charged a no-show fee. Your reservation will be guaranteed to the value of $50 per person.
Cancellations made more than 2 days before the reservation are free of charge. Guests may modify or cancel online up to 3 days prior to the booking. After this time, please contact the restaurant via email.
Please note, the cancellation fee may be used as a credit toward a future booking.

Our non-alcoholic package is exclusively for guests who cannot consume alcohol (due to medical reasons, pregnancy, etc.) and is not a default option for minors
No under 18 year olds can participate in our bottomless brunch package.

Children and guests under 18 are welcome to dine at Matteo when accompanied by a responsible adult at any time, except Bottomless Brunch.
Please note, however, that after 7pm on Friday and Saturday nights, minors are not permitted to remain in the venue unless dining with a responsible adult.A responsible adult is defined as:
a) A parent, step-parent, or legal guardian, or
b) An adult who is clearly acting in place of a parent (a generation gap is required — siblings or friends do not qualify).Minors are welcome to dine with mixed-age groups where a responsible adult is present.
However, in line with licensing regulations, we do not accept bookings or walk-ins for groups made up entirely of minors (under 18 years old) of eight or more guests on Friday and Saturday nights. -

Yes, but all decorations must be pre-approved by us. Please note, that confetti, sprinkles, glitter and feathers are prohibited.

Yes! We have gluten-free pizza and pasta options available. A few of our other dishes can be made gluten-free upon request also.

Yes. We have a cakeage fee of $5pp. We also cannot store cakes overnight for cross-contamination reasons.
